**BOOK CLUB: Bound Book Readers**

Book clubs are a fun way to have conversations about the books you're reading & it's great for getting together with friends.
My sister and I started one for ourselves back in January 2015. We decided to try reading one book a month. (Which doesn't always work, because some people read slower than others...) We both read our chosen book. (We're taking turns picking a book) And then we come up with questions and an activity or two that has something to do with the book. (The questions are usually simple like: Favorite Character, Disliked Character, etc.. And our activities differ depending on the book, but we have created word searches and coloring pages.) And if there's a movie based on the book we watch it, and add questions about it.

It's been so much fun! And we're learning things as we go... We didn't have a club name until our 3rd meeting, I suggested one and my sister suggested another, but we eventually chose her idea, The Bound Book Readers Book Club. And we have been refining our "rules" and the way we go about our meetings, etc. Our meeting place also gets chosen by which ever one of us picked the current book, I love going to our local bookstore/cafe... It's a great atmosphere.. :)

We read our questions and answers out loud and discuss the book. We show off our word search or coloring page, etc. And I keep a log of our meetings so we can revisit the time. It's been so interesting... We are now on our 5th book, part of a trilogy (Also something to think about; If your book is a trilogy or a series you have a LOT of reading to do! For someone who reads slower it's probably best to stick with single novels instead of a trilogy or series.) and I can't wait to have our next meeting.

**Currently Reading** - 7/9/16

I'm currently reading "Ranger's Apprentice: The Early Years" by John Flanagan. I love this series! I've always had an interest in Medieval times, so this series really interested me from the start. Especially with the rangers being the main focus of the series, because I always wanted to be the archer/ranger in role-play stories... John Flanagan has a lot of witty characters with very amusing dialogue. It's the type of books you just don't want to put down... ^_^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What do you think about this series OR John Flanagan's other books?
